Obituary for Horace Lynwood Kearse, Jr.

Fairfax, SC Horace Lynwood Kearse, Jr. 85, husband of Mable Graham Kearse died Monday, February 4, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Kearse was a native of Allendale County and a son of the late Horace Lynwood and Mary Mildred Blount Kearse, Jr. He was a member of the South Carolina National Guard, member of Fairfax First Baptist Church, and Allendale Masonic Lodge 109. He retired from the Savannah River Site and enjoy gardening, painting, fishing and camping with friends and the children in the neighborhood.

Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Great Saltkehatchie Cemetery with the Reverend David Janaro officiating. The family will recieve freinds from 11am to 12noon prior to the service at the funeral home.  

Family members include his wife, Mable G. Kearse; one son, Horace Lynwood Kearse, lll (Rebeca); two daughters, Kathryn Ann Maglione (Stephen) and Tammy Kearse O'Cain; one brother, William “Billy” Kearse; grandchildren, Christopher Martin All, Emily Ann All, Philip Lynwood Kearse, Mathew Eaves Kearse (Emly), Mary Kathryn Coleman (Andy), Adams Clarke O'Cain and Graham Lawton Carr; great-grandchildren, Grayer, Adaleigh,Elly, Easton. He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and Jimmy Kearse.
