Obituary for William Alfred Duggan

Fairfax, SC
William Alfred Duggan Jr. age 78, of Fairfax SC entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2020 after an extended illness.

Mr. Duggan known to his friends as ‘W.A.’, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked for the University Of South Carolina, Allendale SC, for 37 years before his retirement. He was a big football fan of the USC Gamecocks and the Atlanta Falcons. Mr. Duggan in his last years of his life, was a resident of the Pruitt Health Nursing Home in Bamberg, SC.

Surviving are his children, his son Bill Duggan of Beaufort, SC, his daughter Angela Duggan Hackney of West Virginia, his son Alfred Jason Duggan of Fairfax, SC as well as his 3 grandchildren, He is also survived by his sister Tammy Lynn Duggan, niece Melissa Barefoot, his maternal Aunt Omily Cook of Fairfax, her son Jerald of Fairfax, his cousins Michael and Martha Ann Donahue of Fairfax, their son Scott and his wife Allanna Donahue also of Fairfax, also his cousins, Rodney Donahue, Debra Thomas, Joe and Mark Cook and Kenny and Gregg Freeman.

Preceding him in death are his father William Alfred Duggan Sr., his mother Florence Carnelia Cook Duggan, and his brother Ronnie Joe.

A very special Thank You to Michael and Martha Ann Donahue, their wonderful son Scott and Allanna for everything they did for my late father. The family would also like to give a special Thank You to the Pruitt Health Nursing Home for seeing to his needs and wonderful care in his final years as well as the staff at Orangeburg County Hospital for the amazing care given in his final days. Thank You to Keith Smith Funeral Service of Allendale for the years of service to our family.

A private graveside service was in Fairfax Cemetery.
